In Character With Sahara Lin

Well-Suited for Fall with The Rising Star Model (and Her New Pal, Junior)

This heatwave has us dreaming about—or more accurately—staring at…longingly…the cozy appeal of our layering pieces. That blazer (blue check, Balenciaga); its matching wool skirt. Those zebra-print Versace leggings, suddenly made casual with a buttery-yellow Margiela shirt (oversized, tempting you to pose like Ann-Margret). Even our shoes, come fall, feel decidedly back-to-school. Nike Shox as your everyday (nostalgic) shoe.

We asked model, Sahara Lin—whose rise is refreshing and very much her own—to document what life will look when temperatures cool and those wonderfully crisp autumn mornings make commuting to work a little less painful. How slouching at your desk (in a two-piece Totême suit) can feel sort of mischievous. Or how suiting in general might disclose our sportier side (think: an updated Tess McGill, cue the Carly Simon). Here, Lin builds her portfolio in the most playful way, palling around with SSENSE pup, Junior. “Made of cement,” is how she describes the bull breed, whose muscular frame is a sweet match for his smiley (and sleepy) disposition.
